Mary Jo has another one this weekend, folks! Spread the word.
Winter's coming. Time to get these homeless dogs and cats off the cold streets and into warm, loving homes.

What's better than sending the bus back empty at the end of an event???? I can't think of a thing!!!
Congratulations to all of you!!!! Without all the help, love and support that you all show towards our cause, these animals wouldn't stand a chance.
I will let you all in on a secret....
I fully expected today to be a less than great day. I truly thought that with the economy being so awful that attendance at our event would be less than stellar. I absolutely lost sleep thinking that the bus would be going back with more than half of what it came with. I honestly anticipated the worst. For once in my life I enjoyed being WRONG and GOD, how WRONG I WAS!
As any of you who were at the event witnessed, we had a constant flow of adopters --- it just never seemed to get slow.... it was steady all day long. How and why does that happen? It happens because of all of you. Without the work that everyone contributes in promoting these events and spreading the good word about
these events, none of these results would be possible. Without so many of you giving up your entire Saturday to come and play a hands-on role in placing these pets, we'd never be able to pull off these kind of results!!!!!
46 adoptions today.... what a number.... that means that WE ended the day with 1, 121 adoptions in total.
That is really something to be proud of. I couldn't possibly be more proud than what I am to lead such a dedicated, love-filled group of people who take finding the perfect homes for these lovable little creatures very seriously!
I just want to let you know that I think we have something really special and that four years ago (Nov. 12th), when I held my first event, I NEVER IMAGINED THAT FOUR YEARS LATER I would still have the same faces supporting me (Carla, Carolann, Robert, Judy, Phil, Ruth, to name a few) at each event and going above and beyond to make sure that the right home is found for each and every animal. In addition to these 'pioneers', through the years I am been truly blessed to have had so many new people join us, and together we have formed what I believe to be the best and most successful 'adoption facilitating group' in all of NYC!!!
Thanks a million to you all for the good wishes, the active participation, the love and dedication and for helping us know that 46 animals were welcomed into our community today and are sleeping in cozy homes tonight because of our belief that that is what they deserve and our ability to make it a reality.... I love this village that we have cultivated... what a tremendous group of people you all are...
I'm tired and am calling it a night.... so, I say to you all.... Thanks and good night.
